Our Head of Sales at Expo Real 2025

In cooperation with the German Platform for Tech and Innovation (gpti), we at Realitiq, or rather our Head of Sales Lorenz Schwinghammer, had the opportunity to attend this year’s Expo Real at the Munich Trade Fair Center. The event took place from October 6th to 8th in beautiful October weather and, as always, attracted countless exhibitors with some very large booths, as well as a huge number of visitors from all over the world, some industry professionals, others simply interested in the subject matter. Read more about our highlights from the trade fair in this article.

Our home base
At the gpti & KPMG booth

Our home base was the trade fair retreat provided and organized by gpti in cooperation with the management consultancy KPMG. Over hot and cold drinks and delicious snacks, we were able to start initial conversations and discuss potential points of contact and opportunities for cooperation with KPMG’s Real Estate division. Conversations with potential clients could also be held in a dedicated area.

ZIA Proptech Area auf der Expo Real 2025

First impressions count
Bustling activity in every sector of the real estate industry

The exhibition grounds, as always, presented themselves in their incredibly vast expanse, allowing every visitor to satisfy their daily foot traffic needs multiple times if desired.

The network of exhibitors ranged from virtually all major market players in the property development and real estate brokerage sectors, through investors, banks, management consultancies, law firms, tax and auditing firms, to the real estate divisions of large corporations such as the Aldi Group, Rewe Group, and Lidl, to name just a few. Global corporations like McDonald’s were also represented, as were entire regions and real estate associations in the industry (gpti, ZIA, Swiss Circle, etc.). Since Realitiq is also a member of several of these associations, extensive discussions took place at the booths, with the prospect of further developing these relationships.

The visit of the German Federal Minister for Housing, Urban Development and Construction, Verena Hubertz, further enhanced the relevance of the trade fair and showed that politicians are also taking into account the importance of the industry, with all its innovations and future-proof solutions, which Realitiq also provides.

Realitiq bei den DREA-Awards auf der Expo Real 2025

Big Dreams for the Future
The DREA Awards 2025 Ceremony

The Digital Real Estate Association, or DREA for short, the Austrian branch of gpti, once again presented its award to the best proptech companies of the year. The ceremony showcased some fantastic solutions from the diverse fields of digital solutions for the real estate industry. We extend our warmest congratulations to all the category winners.

The impressive awards ceremony has also inspired us to enter Realitiq in the competition for this coveted award. Our Head of Sales, and the entire team, were definitely caught up in the excitement, judging by their stories. As an Austrian company, we are already a member of DREA, and we hope to be shortlisted next year.

Even more networking in the evening
The Tech & Excellence Night in Munich’s Werksviertel

On the second day of the trade fair, we were invited guests at KPMG’s headquarters in Munich’s Werksviertel district. The building impressed all those present, including a representative from the property developer BUWOG, with whom Realitiq is already successfully marketing a real estate project in the Berlin area, using 3D models to vividly present the project to potential clients.

This collaboration was celebrated with a drink, and we toasted to many more projects. The incredible view from the KPMG building’s rooftop terrace created a great atmosphere among the exclusively invited guests and led to many exciting contacts and conversations. The digital innovations in our product portfolio, such as the editor and the real estate scanning function, generated considerable interest among the audience and were effectively presented even in this analog setting. Hopefully, BUWOG’s enthusiasm for the services of its partner Realitiq was contagious and spread to the other attendees.

Keeping a constant eye on the competition
Here’s what was happening with our industry colleagues

The final day at Expo Real continued to be characterized by efficient discussions, whether with property developers, with whom potential future projects and collaborations could be discussed, or with other providers in the real estate world, such as Immoscout24, who further enhanced their booth’s appeal and visitor flow with a roulette table, as well as with startup colleagues like CapeVision and LumoView.

Since the real estate world, despite its large membership, is always like a family, numerous unplanned reunions led to great joy and several relaxed conversations at the exhibition stands.

Looking forward to next year!
After the Expo comes the next events

Although we weren’t exhibiting this year, we at Realitiq would like to thank our partner, gpti, for making our visit possible, and KPMG for the organization and hospitality at our booth and at their headquarters during the Tech & Excellence Night.

We’re not only looking forward to Expo Real 2026, but also to the upcoming trade fairs and the opportunity to connect with everyone there.
