On September 11th, our Head of Sales, Lorenz Schwinghammer, attended the Innovation Congress organized by Digital findet Stadt in Vienna. The event, themed “Digital Planning, Construction & Operation: Innovation Pays Off – Digital Solutions for Measurable Added Value,” brought together speakers and participants from the construction industry with representatives from academia and research. This blog post provides a brief summary of the event.
Innovative solutions for the future, as well as those already in use today, were presented concisely and clearly in short pitches at the Digital Findet Stadt Innovation Congress.
We were particularly pleased with the presentation by the founder of Shadowmap, whose services have already been integrated into our software and are being used extensively by our customers. Lighting conditions in properties are a crucial factor in quality of life and a significant aspect in the purchasing decision. Shadowmap’s tool realistically depicts these conditions, allowing prospective buyers to immerse themselves in the property more effectively. This embodies an important part of our presentation and leads to even more efficient insights, even before an on-site viewing, or entirely without one.
These synergistic effects are a major part of digitalization and help us make our software even more attractive to all types of customers.
The progress in construction, presented by companies such as Wienerberger, Binderholz, and Swietelsky, was also fascinating to observe. These companies are driving efficiency and serial construction using modular building techniques and the application of robotics and AI, which in turn should lead to cost savings for end customers.
There will certainly be points of contact with Realitiq’s portfolio in the future, as we also aim to promote and maximize the quality and efficiency of real estate marketing through digitalization, resulting in reduced costs for all involved – a win-win situation.
Following the presentations, participants had the opportunity to deepen their newly acquired knowledge and forge new connections through engaging and entertaining discussions during the evening networking event.
Since much of the day’s focus was primarily on construction itself, our software, which is clearly positioned in the development phase of real estate marketing, generated considerable interest and excitement in the discussions. Especially in collaboration with Georg Molzer from Shadowmap, we were able to awaken and expand interest in the future of real estate marketing with our digital twins.
We look forward to participating in similar conferences in the future, either as speakers on the podium or as attendees.
