REALITIQ at the PropTech Summit in Hamburg

Hamburg: Where PropTech meets Construction

On April 22 and 23, Hamburg once again became the hotspot of the PropTech scene – and we were right in the middle of it at the PropTech Summit 2026. Two days full of innovation, ideas, and conversations showed just how much momentum the industry currently has.

What stood out in particular:
Digital twins have clearly arrived – but mostly in areas like planning, construction, or operations. The question of how they can be used to better sell real estate often remains unanswered.

And, as expected, a major presence everywhere: artificial intelligence – turning every solution into a more efficient innovation, from individual workflows to fully integrated systems.

Small team, big impact
Booth S15: Our place in the action

We were on-site with Realitiq at booth S15 – CEO Christian Höll and Head of Marketing Carmen Rezac engaging directly with the industry.

And those conversations were insightful.

While many exhibitors focused on topics like facility management, energy-efficient renovations, sustainability, or construction processes, we were able to clearly differentiate ourselves:

We think about the digital twin from a sales perspective.

And that created attention.

Especially because our solution is intentionally simple – built for developers and real estate agents, not for tech experts.

5 minutes that stick
Our pitch: real estate becomes real-life “The Sims”

During the startup pitch on day one, our CEO Christian Höll summed it up perfectly:

Digital twins as “The Sims” for potential buyers and tenants.

A concept that people instantly understand.

Because instead of just showing properties, we enable users to actively experience and shape them. Spaces become tangible, decisions easier – and the entire buying process more emotional.

Compared to many technically driven solutions, one thing became clear:
Simplicity beats complexity – especially when it comes to people.

The feature everyone talked about
Your furniture. Your vision. Your decision.

One topic kept coming up in conversations – and sparked genuine interest:

The ability to scan your own furniture and integrate it into the digital twin.

What does that change?

Suddenly, it’s no longer about just any property –
but about your own future home.

  • Capture furniture digitally
  • Place it inside the target property
  • And even bring it along to viewings via AR

The result: stronger identification, clearer decisions, and a completely new user experience.

New impulses for future features
From points to real experiences

Alongside all the positive feedback, we also took away concrete ideas for further development.

One topic stands out in particular:
360° tours based on point cloud data.

Currently, we work with panoramic images – the next step is integrating external scans to enable even more realistic and flexible experiences.

This also connects to feedback we received at digitalBAU: there was strong demand for automatically generating digital twins from point cloud data (similar to our AI Paper2Pixel approach). We can therefore clearly envision first enabling 360° tours based on point cloud data, which would then serve as the foundation for automatically generating digital twins.

Following our current strong focus on our B2C app and subscription model, this is definitely something we plan to tackle later this year.

Our principle remains the same:
As much technology as necessary – as simple as possible.

More than just the main program
Between beer pong & building innovation

Of course, it wasn’t all business.

The aftershow event on Wednesday showed how well the community connects beyond the stage – including a beer pong tournament and a live performance by Loona.

We enjoyed it from a distance – still very entertaining.

And overall: big compliments to the organization.

Especially the free and high-quality catering – something that’s far from standard for an event of this size. The supporting program of masterclasses, panels, and expert talks was also clearly curated with great care.

One highlight worth mentioning: the keynote by Ranga Yogeshwar, “Next Exit: Future,” which placed current developments around AI into a broader societal and cultural context – and definitely left a lasting impression.

When things become clear
Our honest takeaway

For us, the PropTech Summit 2026 was more than just another trade show.

It confirmed that we’re solving the right problem.

While many solutions optimize processes, we address a very specific challenge:
How do you get people to actually decide for a property?

With an approach that doesn’t overwhelm technically – but inspires intuitively.

A big thank you to the organizers for this outstanding event in Hamburg – we’ll gladly be back.
