Our Updates in March

Time to perfect familiar features

March is over, and it’s time once again for our monthly feature update. This time, there’s little to report regarding Editor, Connect & App – however, the features we already have have become all the more powerful! Here’s a brief summary of our “spring cleaning.”

New in the Editor
New object movement in 2D, improved outline rendering & more

Object movement system
in 2D mode

In 2D mode, objects can now be moved without clicking on them first. Simply move the mouse over the object, hold down the left mouse button, and drag the object. This is especially useful for those already familiar with this behavior from CAD programs.

Improved outline rendering
when selecting

Clicking on an object now highlights only its outline, instead of selecting the entire model. This makes it easier to avoid overlaps, especially in highly detailed rooms with many objects.

Improvements to Paper2Pixel
better detection

Our AI is diligently learning to interpret various floor plans and thus correctly represent walls, windows, and doors when creating a digital twin. We are currently training it with over 1 million different floor plans in various quality levels, from clean PDFs to double and triple scanned existing plans with folds, to hand-drawn plans.

General Clean-up
for the Editor

This month we took the time to improve various minor aspects of the editor’s behavior. The tool itself should now be intuitive to use for users of all experience levels and should also perfectly display properties of varying complexity.

New balcony rails
& sanitary facilities

This month, we’ve focused primarily on bathroom fixtures in our product range, offering more configuration options for new construction projects. We’ve also included new balcony railings and various fences.

New in Connect

New features for Image2Video & new sidebar

Image2Video
Update for clip length & maximum number of images

The clip length per image can now be extended from 3 seconds to up to 12 seconds. However, this setting currently applies to the entire video. The number of images has also been increased: now up to 5 images can be rendered into a single, continuous video without any issues.

Tools in the sidebar
Everything at a glance

Image rendering, image-to-video conversion, and sunlight visualization have been moved to the “Tools” section in the sidebar. This makes it even clearer that these tools can be used independently of any created property.

Unfortunately, nothing new from the app
Look forward to updates in April

…then we’ll also bring new image rendering options to the app.
