What better way to end the year than with one last update? That’s exactly why we really stepped up our efforts in December and are now ready to present it. With a special focus on the 3D editor, our central element for real estate marketing, but also with a few other minor improvements, we’re wrapping up the year on a high note.
Easily replace windows and doors with similar ones with just one click, just like you’re already familiar with from our furniture library. This new feature allows for even faster editing of wall openings, eliminating the need to tediously delete the old door or window. This is particularly useful for models created through scanning or when working without a floor plan as a blueprint, as it ensures the exact placement of the opening is preserved.
If you want to further personalize standard doors and windows, it’s worth considering upgrading the handles. For example, door handles on entrance doors can easily be replaced with knobs, and plastic window handles can be quickly swapped for metal ones. This is an important first step towards customizing individual properties.
We’re taking wall texture splitting a step further: Previously, it was already possible to define different textures for each side of the wall; now, each side can be split again. This enables the classic look familiar from many bathrooms: tiling halfway up the wall. Naturally, the height of the lower wall texture is individually configurable, so, for example, only one row of tiles at the very top can remain bare.
Previously, wall slopes could only be adjusted for one wall at a time, which was cumbersome because walls automatically split whenever another wall met them at a 90° angle. In the future, a multi-selection function (using the Shift key) will allow you to select multiple walls and adjust the slope to the entire length of the selected walls. This means that both simple wall slopes and slopes on both sides of the room (left and right) will no longer be a problem.
AI renderings from the 3D model in first-person view now have a higher resolution and are therefore crystal clear. This applies both to renderings you create yourself using our rendering tool and to AI renderings created by your prospective buyers via the shared link to the 3D model. This further enhances the FPV view in a 3D model, transforming it into a realistic property view.
It’s ironic, because not much is happening in winter, but in December our focus was on new outdoor furniture. Many new garden elements are now available, from fountains to hedges and fences, to grills and fire pits – basically everything you need to design a garden area (except for flowers and plants). Roofs have also received an upgrade and can now have different exterior textures like glass or shingles, allowing for an even more realistic appearance in helicopter view.
Shared links in a 3D model are now even more customizable: View Only (where potential buyers cannot interact with the model) or Limited View (for individual buyer configurations) can now be individually configured to hide features within the model. For example, dimensions for properties can be hidden if the measurements are not exact, roofs and compasses can be hidden, and much more. You decide what your potential buyers see.
The rotation movements when clicking through a 360° tour are now significantly smoother. Furthermore, a few issues with globally saving the tour, deleting a panorama from the tour, and moving focus points have been fixed.
Our furniture library for AR is growing – most of our furnishing objects from the editor are now available. In the future, we are working towards making all newly available models in the editor automatically available for placement in augmented reality in real-world spaces, to ensure greater consistency.
Sharing a link to the 3D model on the go will no longer require Connect – simply share directly via the app and configure the link to your liking. This function works similarly to the new link customization options in Connect – the same parameters are available.
